I know when I first started trying to build a business online I did everything wrong that you could. 

Some of it worked back then but it does not work now.

And, if it does work now it will not provide you longevity in your business.  You will have to start learning to leverage the internet and social media the right way.

So how do you get more engagement?  More interest in about your product service or opportunity?

CURIOSITY…it’s something that you can start doing right now and leverage that to create more engagement on your posts and get more messages in your inbox which will ultimately lead to more sales and you helping more people.

If a trailer for a movie came out and gave you the ending to the movie, who would go see it?

No, they leverage curiosity and leave you hanging on the edge of your seat and create a sense of urgency to get tickets and go see the movie.  Or, your favorite tv show…if they do it right…each episode ends with a huge cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more and makes sure you are ready and waiting when the new show airs.

Your followers have questions on how to do exactly what you are offering.  But, we have made the two collide.  We have to get them to raise their hand to YOU.  How will you know they even need what you have if they never ask?  How do we get them to ask?

How can we as marketers, network marketers and entrepreneurs use this same method to make ourselves, our message and our products and services more irresistible?

You raise curiosity.  That is how they reach out to you instead of Google.  Then you can share, follow up and help them if they choose to continue.

In this post I will share with you why you must to start leveraging curiosity with your posts on social media, fb ads and emails you send out.  Some of these thoughts come from a mentor of mine Vitaly Grinblat

Human beings are very curious by nature.

When we see something that provokes our curiosity, we automatically want answers.

Here’s a simple example.

When I use the popular headline formula, “How to ______”…

  • “How to build your business.”
  • “How to explode your business.”
  • “How to use the Internet to grow your team.”

…it immediately triggers a question in your head, even though I’m not directly asking you a question.

When I say I’m going to tell you how to do something, assuming it’s relevant to you, you immediately want to know…

“Yeah, how do you do that?”

That provokes curiosity.

That’s a very basic, but very powerful way to communicate.

When you’re putting together your ad, Facebook post, blog post, or email…

START WITH A “HOW-TO” STATEMENT

Start simply.

You can always tweak it later, but start with “how to.”

 

For example, if I say…

“How to recruit more, but prospect less,”

Anybody who’s interested in growing their business, and is sick and tired of prospecting and rejection, is going to be extremely curious.

They’re going to want to know…

“Yeah, how do you recruit more people and prospect less?”

If you’re dealing in the diet industry, you might say…

“How to lose weight by eating fatty foods.”

This is super curiosity provoking because we’ve all been taught that you should avoid fatty foods.

Injecting things that provoke your audience’s curiosity will make your message a lot more compelling.

Might I also add here that I personally have learned from the best of the best in this industry is to make sure you are not mentioning your company name or the products? 

Lead with the benefits of your opportunity or the benefits of what your product is that you are trying to get into the hands of your prospects. 

It’s never too late to start this… you can begin today. 

Yes, maybe many on your timeline will already know what you are doing and selling. 

But, they may start paying more attention and…and…they will not be who get you to the next step because you are, I am sure you are anyway, adding to your network daily. 

Those new people will not know. 

And, when they raise their hand you will know and be able to share your company information with them and allow them to then make the decision on if the company and you are a good fit for them. 

When I started holding my company name back and not just sending my links out I got to know my prospects needs better and was able to chat with first so I could point them in the right direction in order to help them and not just benefit from what they might try in my product line. 

That’s it! That’s what I have for today!
